Week 0: Steps 2 and 3: Posting 3 images + description

a: your best piece of creative work before coming to this course, think laterally if you have not done "conventional" art or design work

Image 1: Harry and Penelope Seidler house recreation in Sketchup+Lumion

Although I have played around with other creative software in the past, my best piece of creative work prior to ARCH1101 has to be the highly detailed Harry and Penelope Seidler house that I created with Sketchup and Lumion last year for one of my ARCH1080 projects. I learned that I should not take on difficult works of architecture, especially as a beginner in architectural design software, however in hindsight I do not regret this decision as I have learned a lot.

Prior to this I didn't know that half storeys existed.

b: an image of a great piece of architecture

Image 2: Apartman 18 - Aytac Architects in Istanbul, Turkey.

This is a 10 storey residential building. Apartman 18 pays homage to Erenkoy’s completely destroyed vineyards due to densification of the city with concrete cookie-cutter apartment blocks after 1970’s.

c: an original photograph of something beautiful

Image 3: Local cat found lying under a Frangipani tree 20m from my home.

This is one of the most recent original pictures that I have on me. I was walking back home when I came across this cat lying under a Frangipani tree. So I went over and put a flower on it.
